Question (for a session discussion board):
#7. "End users should not participate in product evaluations because they cannot be objective about computer products and standards." Explain your reaction to this statement.

My Answer:
Tho I haven't made a reaction, here goes. That depends on the value of the statement oddly enough, what is the value of the end-user. if the end-user is critical to judgement of the interface, such as an interactive game then he/she is vital,  if end-user participation is a nuisance then they should be avoided or counted as out. The credibility of the user is vital to judged responses, their interactive measures and results may be the purpose of the study, or even their reaction, but irrelevant results could as easily be produced by the evaluation-moderators by adding a control group.
